Clarence Favret

Biography

Clarence ‘Ret’ Favret attended The Saint Paul School in Covington, Louisiana, the University of San Francisco, and Louisiana State University Law School where he graduated in 1979 with a Juris Doctorate. He has practiced in the New Orleans region for over forty years concentrating in commercial litigation, business counseling and commercial transactions.

Mr. Favret is rated AV, the highest professional rating designated for practicing attorneys. He has tried over 50 jury trials and several hundred non-jury trials in state and federal courts through the State of Louisiana. He has been admitted pro hac vice in all contiguous states, and Missouri, Washington D.C. and New York. He has appeared in all Louisiana state appeals courts and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. Mr. Favret has moderated CLE seminars regarding trial evidence and commercial transactions and has spoken at numerous private functions regarding the practice of law and its role as a positive force in the community.

He is a contributing author to Professor Paul Bauer’s “The Pocket Constitutionalist”. Currently, Mr. Favret’s practice concentrates in commercial transactions, business counseling and representation of business and licensed professionals.
